A true comedy master and one of the hottest stand-up comics of this generation is comedian Jimeoin. Internationally acclaimed, Jimeoin has toured from New Zealand to New York, the Far East to the Middle East, and smashed box office records at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
He’s been a regular favourite at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and his Aussie tours sold out advance bookings with extra shows added due to demand. He’s known for his charming observations of everyday life and his seriously funny wit. His audience rapport is exceptional and his popularity makes him one of the biggest comedy acts each year at the Edinburgh Festival.
Jimeoin’s a familiar face on Australia’s top television comedy programs. The Panel, Full Frontal, Rove Live, GMA, good News Week, Spicks and Specks, The Midday Show, Bligh, Talkin about Your Generation and Thank God You’re Here. He’s also graced the screens in the US with guest appearances on TV shows such as Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Des O’Connor in the UK. His own hit show on the Seven Network, “Jimeoin” ran for three series and consistently won the ratings!
He’s been a TV guest across the globe, hosting Montreal’s “Just for Laughs” comedy festival documentaries, the BBC UK’s “Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow”, “The Very Best of Just for Laughs”, “The Very Best of the Edinburgh Comedy Festival” and “Comedy Rocks”. In Australia his “Tea Towel Tour” of Ireland documentary and his series “Over the Top” TV aired.
Moving beyond the TV screens and into film, he debuted his feature film “The Craic” which in its opening weekend made it the second highest grossing box office movie in Australian produced film history! As writer and star of this film, he experienced hugely successful video releases and in Ireland it was only second to “The Matrix”.
Never one to sit still in his career for long, he is forever bringing the laughs to his gigs, trying out new things and basically just having a good laugh himself.
